MLA Course Week 2

Blogs vs. wikis.... Personally I like the free flowing nature of blogs. They are easy to comment on and get a discussion going. Creating a wiki has been fun, too. The editing function is much easier than I thought at first and it's fun to add content to other pages. I see more applications for wikis for personal use, though, than for the library. One thing I'm noticing is that as I learn about these new tools, there is a teaching moment at hand. For example, I invited my husband to join my wiki. He looked at it and didn't know what to do with it. Now that is a bean counter for you! If it would have been an NCAA wiki his interest might have been greater!
